Aalborg Youth Jazz Orchestra ends the season with "THIS IS AYJO" - a concert where the orchestra gathers music from AYJO's previous projects with new compositions and arrangements written by the orchestra's own musicians.

The concert brings selected works from the orchestra's history back to the stage and puts them together with new music written especially for the big band. The repertoire moves between traditional big band, modern jazz and new orchestral sounds and gives an insight into the musical ideas and expressions that characterize the Aalborg Youth Jazz Orchestra right now. Several of the works are arranged or composed by musicians from the orchestra themselves, and the concert provides space for both personal expression, new ideas and music that over the years has helped to shape AYJO's sound and repertoire.

"THIS IS AYJO" marks the end of the 2026–2027 season and brings together the orchestra's musicians, arrangers and soloists in a concert that ranges from new compositions to music from throughout AYJO's history.
