Aalborg Youth Jazz Orchestra closes the season with a grand concert celebrating the strong musical talent and creative energy that define this vibrant and passionate big band.

The project “THIS IS AYJO” combines brand-new compositions with highlights from earlier projects, creating a unique repertoire that showcases the ensemble’s versatility and constant evolution. The program features original works written by the orchestra’s musicians alongside selected pieces from the season’s past projects, offering audiences a rare insight into AYJO’s musical journey. The ensemble’s technical skill and artistic maturity promise a truly distinctive and enriching sound experience.

Each musician has been given the freedom to either compose or select a piece from previous projects, adding a personal and authentic touch to this season’s closing project.

“THIS IS AYJO” is more than just a concert; it is a musical narrative of a year filled with dedication, growth, and passion for big band music, reflecting both the collective and individual learning and development of the orchestra.
