The Courettes are a Brazilian–Danish garage rock duo renowned for their explosive live shows and retro-futuristic edge. Comprised of Flavia Couri (vocals, guitar) and Martin Couri (drums, vocals), the band blends the raw spirit of 60s garage rock with early punk intensity and a powerful Wall of Sound aesthetic. Fuzzed-out guitars, pounding drums and bold harmonies define a sound that feels both nostalgic and fiercely alive.

Signed to the legendary UK label Damaged Goods Records and praised by outlets such as Rolling Stone, MOJO and BBC Radio 6, The Courettes have earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most electrifying live acts. Their latest album, The Soul Of… The Fabulous Courettes (2024), adds soul and cinematic 60s pop to their arsenal — delivering high-energy, sweat-soaked shows driven by pure rock ’n’ roll spirit.

With more than 800 shows across 20+ countries, The Courettes have toured relentlessly throughout Europe, the US, Japan, the UK and South America — selling out venues, headlining festivals and building a devoted global following. One sweaty, high-voltage show at a time.

On stage or on vinyl, The Courettes are pure rock ’n’ roll alchemy: wild, stylish and irresistibly real.

Support: The Deadly Sons The Deadly Sons reap five stars again After the critically acclaimed debut album Common Love from 2023, the Copenhagen band is now out with another full-length vinyl release, and again the band reaps five stars in Gaffa. The Deadly Sons can put together an album that takes the listener around the corners of life. The band plays both raw and refined. The rebellious meets the pensive when their charismatic singer, industrial guitar sounds and melodic bass lines are driven by dark, rocking drums. A concert with The Deadly Sons is a strong and almost ritualistic experience, where a chanting singer lets himself be carried away by hand-played instruments. Tambourines and maracas light candles in the dark and distorted tones, which portend both decay and hope. Because even though the tempo has slowed down completely, there is still optimism to be found when the highly captivating band takes the stage.
