As innovative heirs to Phil Spector's infamous and beloved "Wall Of Sound," The Courettes have kicked down the door to an international adventure. Their albums have garnered stars and rave reviews from some of the world's leading music media, such as the American Rolling Stone, CLASH Magazine, and MOJO, all while audiences have fallen in love with the always explosive live duo at venues around the world. With 142 concerts worldwide – just in 2023 – it is no coincidence that The Courettes have become known as "The hardest working band in showbiz."

"When we’re not in the studio, we’re on the road – and preferably non-stop," says the Brazilian singer and guitarist, Flavia Couri. "We see ourselves as citizens of the world. But, finally going on this particular tour feels like coming home to us." They met in 2013, both touring in South America, and fate had it that Flavia flew with the Danish drummer and singer, Martin Couri, to Denmark. Here, The Courettes became a reality. Together, they built one of Scandinavia's most accomplished vintage sound studios and, not least, started a family.

"We live and breathe for our music. The day after I gave birth to our son, I was on stage – it was a truly emotional moment. He's seven now and has started joining us on tour, and we love when he joins us with a tambourine," says Flavia.

The Courettes' latest album, 'Back in Mono,' was a milestone for Flavia and Martin. With specially designed echo chambers, they succeeded, in collaboration with Japanese mixer and Wall Of Sound aficionado, Seiki Sato, and Søren Christensen from Danish The Blue Van as producer, in recreating the iconic Spector technique. But the album was also a philosophical turning point with lyrics about love, life, and death, which both Flavia and Martin experienced simultaneously as they both lost their fathers during the COVID-19 lockdown. 'Back in Mono' was received with fantastic reviews, including in major magazines like MOJO (UK), Rolling Stone (USA), and Gaffa (DK).

Now, The Courettes are back in their own StarrSound Studios to produce their fifth studio album, which will be released in the fall of 2024 on Damaged Goods Records.
