SØVNMØNSTER is a slap in the face of excess that, with their fusion of rock and pop consisting of dominant guitars, bleeding synths and electric hooks, invites the audience to dance and let go of the grounding. With attitude, sweat and a twinkle in the eye, the band insists on celebrating all facets of life, good and bad, and letting themselves get lost in the euphoria and wildness of existence, music, and community. SØVNMØNSTER started in a sweaty rehearsal room in the small towns of North Jutland. Five guys who grew up in those small places where you either get bored or come up with something crazy together. We chose the latter.

Over the past many years, SØVNMØNSTER has grown from a buddy project to a purposeful party machine. Even though we are an ambitious and in many ways professional project, the core has always been the same. We love looking people in the eye from a stage. We love making music that makes people's arms and legs lift and their hearts beat. It's about acknowledging all the facets of life and celebrating them equally.

Raised on rock like Iron Maiden, Fontaines DC and Arctic Monkeys, but later influenced by more modern and Danish sounds from The Minds of 99, Hugorm or countless other Danish rock-pop legends, we aim in our sound to be pop-rock that dares to ride the big mainstream waves, but that just scratches the surface a little. We try to live on the edge between the serious and the quirky, between the twinkle in the eye and the crushing unrest.

The title of our debut EP, Diskotek, really says it best: This is where you go to forget the world outside, dance your way to sweat and maybe find some comfort in the fact that we are all a little "crazy" at the bottom.
