Formed in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Kim "Kix" Jeppesen, POWERSOLO is known for their unique "Donkey Punk" sound—a frantic blend of garage, punk, psychobilly, surf, and world music that bursts with intensity.

In 2023, POWERSOLO released JAMBALAYA – EXTRA SPICY on Crunchy Frog, and now they’re working on a follow-up that promises a whole new and “spooky” twist. This upcoming album, set for release in 2025, has been in the works for over a year, and though many details are still under wraps, the band promises an unexpected surprise.

With ten studio albums, a film score, and a vast array of singles and videos behind them, POWERSOLO has established itself as a versatile, internationally acclaimed group, touring extensively across Europe, the US, South America, and even Africa. The band’s music has also featured on soundtracks for series like True Blood, American Horror Story, and the Danish-Canadian crime drama Himmerland.

Their distinctive sound is driven by an analog and lo-fi approach, where obscure, primitive instruments and technology create a raw, vintage aesthetic. This patois of musical styles blends into a sound that’s both intense and original—an experience that pushes the boundaries of what rock music can be.
