Studenterhuset Aalborg, along with Way Up North festival and the organization KORMA, have partnered to enhance efforts for local talents from Northern Jutland at Denmark's largest music industry festival, SPOT Festival in Aarhus. The day before SPOT Festival kicks off, we're jumpstarting the music in Aalborg. With PitSPOT, key figures from the music industry in Germany, England, Sweden, and Norway will come to Aalborg to kick off their SPOT Festival with 4 showcase concerts on Thursday, May 2nd, at the small stage on the 1st floor of Studenterhuset.

FOX PALOMA (DK)

Riding on a dreamy and polished 60s psych-pop wave, Fox Paloma surged onto the Danish music scene in 2022 with an extensive Denmark tour and a performance at SPOT. The following year, Germany and Sweden were in the crosshairs as the trio explored the acoustic format in a series of exclusive concerts. Throughout their early years, Fox Paloma has been characterized by an uncompromising approach to the euphoric universes of the late 60s. With Beatle-esque hair, Chelsea boots, a 12-string guitar, bright vocal harmonies, and live sound reminiscent of a record player, they've shown they know the material and have done their homework. Therefore, in 2024, we will see a band ready to tear up the textbooks, blend genres and eras, and let their personalities shine through in the music, with a fresher and more challenging sound.

PLAIINS (DE)

With their fast-paced, hard-pounding songs and plenty of attitude, PLAIINS hits you like a freight train. Founded by London-raised singer Chris, the Hamburg-based quartet draws inspiration from the same fertile ground as IDLES, QOTSA, and TURNSTILE. With an energy beyond the ordinary and plenty of raw power, they deliver a highly passionate live act that's coming to Aalborg.

HOLLOW SHIP (SE)

Gothenburg’s Hollow Ship set out with grand ambitions. Musically, they’ve mined their sixties influences (think early Pink Floyd) without miming them; instead, they look in their direction to set a road map for the future. Now being one of the leading acts on the Swedish psychadelic rock scene, Hollow Ship has set sail along with genuinely futuristic musical ideas, to be transmitted through time and space to the listener on the other side – a symbol of something genuinely hard to grasp, without obvious definitions.

THEODOR LUCERO (NO)

Theodor Lucero is the rising young Norwegian star in the Norwegian alternative pop/rock scene. With catchy songs and extraordinary guitar playing, he has crafted a sound that builds upon legendary bands such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Oasis. He has already conquered southern Norway, and now it's Aalborg's turn.
