For the past 15 years, Nanook has been in the top of the sales charts in Greenland. With the band's iconic sound, framing insisting Rock, Pop and Folk in an ethereal Arctic soundscape, added to Greenlandic lyrics about everything from the magnificence of nature, through love and climate change to the taboo suicide rates on the world's largest island, Nanook has inscribed itself in Greenlandic music history.

Despite the Greenlandic songs it's not only in Greenland that the band has found an audience. Nanook has played concerts in the North, Canada and the USA. There is also an interest for the moody melancholy of the music in Asia. That's why Nanook is the only Greenlandic band ever to be released in Japan. The recognition in Denmark has not been lacking either, as is evident from a series of sold-out concerts and a packed tent at Roskilde Festival in 2019.

With Nanook's fresh 5th studio album “Ilutsinniit Apuussilluta” (“What we bring from within ourselves”) behind them, the band is playing a series of concerts in Denmark, where the set list offers a refined mix of well-known hits and new tracks.

Supporting the concerts is Ancachan themself, perhaps the brightest morning star in the Arctic sky, giving the audience a lesson in what innovative electronica means in a Greenlandic context.
