Greenlandic band Nanook has become a familiar name – even here in Denmark, at least for those who dare to look north to discover what’s moving on the Greenlandic music scene. With their ambient rock sound, catchy guitar riffs, and lyrics about culture and love in – and for – Greenland, Nanook won the hearts of a whole generation back home with their debut album Seqinitta Qinngorpaatit in 2009.

Since then, the band has sold around 25,000 copies of their releases – all in a language spoken by just over 50,000 people. Nanook has also brought their music beyond Greenland, touring in the Nordic countries, the Basque Country, the USA, Canada, and Japan.

This time, Nanook stops by Denmark en route to their very first concert in France – offering a rare chance to experience the full band live on stage.
