The film is directed by Brett Morgen (known for his fascinating portrayal of Kurt Cobain, 'Montage of Heck'), who has been granted full access to the Bowie archive and delivers an experimental and striking film experience, where images and sound merge into a higher unity and perfectly convey the creative and spiritual journey Bowie went through until his death in 2016.
