YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A STUDENT TO BUY A TICKET
“The rapping time machine,” declared Berlingske in their December 2013 profile of rap phenomenon Marvelous Mosell. His music feels like it’s been plucked straight from the 80s disco and pop scene—always irresistibly danceable. His songs have titles like “Jeg tænker på dig” (I’m Thinking of You), “Jeg var blevet syg og ku’ li’ det” (I Got Sick and Liked It), and “Robin Rubin solgte crack-kokain” (Robin Rubin Sold Crack Cocaine). Paired with his homemade, TV-series-inspired cut-up videos—often in eye-popping colors—his work has racked up over 500,000 views on YouTube.
In the same year, music critics nominated him for no fewer than four Steppeulv awards, and P3 invited him to perform at P3 Guld, where he brought down the house at the DR Concert Hall with “Dans, bevægelse, fashion” (Dance, Movement, Fashion) and the forbidden moves featured in his single “Den bedste danser” (The Best Dancer). The track was, of course, stylishly produced by his like-minded collaborator, Tue Track.
It’s now been 10 years since the public was first introduced to Marvelous Mosell’s retro rap universe. Over the years, he’s released numerous hits and performed countless shows that have left audiences with tired dancing feet and big smiles.
