In a short amount of time, Karoline Mousing has established herself as one of the most promising new names on the Danish music scene. Through musical gems, hard work, and an immediate, open-hearted universe, she has proven herself to be an outstanding pop lyricist, a highly talented singer, and a powerful live performer. Her honest and relatable lyrics have helped her build a strong and dedicated fanbase in a remarkably short time.
At the beginning of 2025, Karoline Mousing had released only a single track: “Ulykkelig”. But this was no ordinary debut—“Ulykkelig” was already flourishing on TikTok before Karoline Mousing signed with Island under Universal Music and shortly after officially released the single. She quickly kept the momentum going in early 2025 with the release of “Ser I Mig Nu”, created together with two of her regular collaborators, Jeppe Engelbrecht and Kristoffer Fuglsang.
In spring 2025, Karoline Mousing was invited to join Annika as a support act on her sold-out headline tour—at the same time as she released the track “Urørlig” with Dos Santos. The song marked Karoline Mousing’s first time at the top of the Spotify charts and landed her on the front pages of major playlists. During the summer of 2025, she performed at Smukfest Livecamp—and won—securing her a spot on Smukfest’s main programme. On stage, she brought along, among other things, the newly released track “Undskyld”—a song that, despite its title, radiated attitude and musical confidence.
She ended the year by playing her first headline shows, which quickly sold out and left fans signing up for waiting lists. Shortly after, she released “If u kno u kno” together with KEDDE. The song took off immediately, earning P3’s Uundgåelige, a cover spot on Spotify’s biggest playlist Hot Hits, and more than 2 million streams within just a few weeks.
Karoline Mousing has big plans for 2026. A lot of new music is on the way, along with many live shows—and throughout it all, Karoline Mousing will remain firmly at the center of her own project.
Karoline Mousing grew up in Randers, and according to herself, those Randers roots have played a key role in shaping her both personally and artistically: “There’s not a lot of bullshit with people from Randers—and that’s usually the standpoint I write music from. It doesn’t need to be wrapped up, and it’s okay if it’s a little unsweetened.” And perhaps it’s exactly this energy that makes it clear, after 2025, that Karoline Mousing is one of the brightest emerging talents on the Danish music scene.
