FALLULAH plays The Black Cat Neighbourhood
Most Danes probably remember when Fallulah broke through the sound barrier with her very unique and wild Balkan pop that sent shockwaves to our ears on the radio and made us sing and dance along to the odd time signatures.
Her smash of a debut "The Black Cat Neighborhood" turns 15 years old in 2025, and it must be celebrated in a grand way!
Fallulah therefore invites you into her time machine where we set course for the year 2010. Here we experience Fallulah and her band playing the debut album in full length.
Look forward to an evening full of hits, nostalgia, hand clapping, dancing and Fallulah's groundbreaking signature sound. This is not to be missed!
Soundvenue proclaimed the album as one of the 20 most important Danish albums of the 2010s, and wrote among other things:
“"The Black Cat Neighbourhood's hellish pop combined with Balkan elements from Maria Apetris's Eastern European origins resulted in a completely unique sound that was not found in other corners of Danish pop. Fallulah appeared seemingly out of the blue, and the debut album was in many ways her own very successful do-it-yourself project. Apetris's approach has undoubtedly inspired a sea of young musicians at the beginning of the decade”
The Black Cat Neighbourhood has sold double platinum, and won both the P3 prize, two DMAs and a Gaffa Award. The first single was P3's inevitable. Fallulah toured with the album in the USA, England, Sweden, Norway, France, Spain, Germany, Russia. She was also the first Dane to play a live session on the Swedish P3, and has opened for Ed Sheeran.
