Northern Winter Beat presents the performance of “Kraftfelt” by Laser Nun in the new NWB venue

Vor Frelsers church October 7th 2023 will be the first performance of the 360 concert ceremony “Kraftfelt”, composed by Laser Nun, in Vor Frelsers Church, Aalborg. With six amplifiers, light installations, drums, electronics and guitar the audience will be guided into a sonic force field where the raw matter of energy is forged. As a spectator you will be placed in a circle around this force field, where the music’s physicality will conjure connections between our material world and the idea of a metaphysical space or a mental state without the presence of time.

Laser Nun’s two musicians, Anders Vestergaard and Lars Bech Pilgaard, have through many years of artistic practice, with a focus on how extreme music affects the human way of perceiving time and space, developed and refined an expression where doom, noise and spiritual jazz meets and shapes these connections. A series of contrasts – transitions between light and darkness, life and death, unity and chaos - will through the concert try to fulfill the vision of inspiring people to take part in the ceremony instead of only being a witness.

The church will through its natural acoustic and spiritual grandiosity function as an amplifier for the music, for the performance’s wish to affect the human body and mind as the setting and sound merges.
