Prepare to immerse yourself in a musical exploration transcending borders and genres. "Fallen Flags," a project uniting musicians from Manchester (UK), Aalborg (DK) and Aarhus (DK). This brings together 5 talented young musicians to foster a strong bond and network between the music environments of these vibrant cities and music scenes.

The project's focus lies firmly within the realm of alternative music, spanning genres such as jazz, experimental, and improvisation. This dynamic ensemble of 5 young musicians will collaborate during a three-day rehearsal and studio session at KORMA in Aalborg, culminating in two electrifying performances—one at Radar in Aarhus 8/nov and at Studenterhuset in Aalborg 9/nov.

Meet the lineup of Fallen Flags:

  • Hoda (UK): An Iranian-Slovak cellist, songwriter, and composer known for bridging classical and popular music.
  • Trees.R.Good: A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, advocating for climate change awareness through music.
  • Caroline Frandsen: A 21-year-old singer, performer, and songwriter from Aalborg, renowned for her dark pop compositions.
  • Frederik Bülow: Award-winning drummer and composer, whose jazztronica band Abekejser pushes the boundaries of jazz and electronic music.
  • Erik Lunde: A trumpeter, improviser, and composer based in Aalborg, celebrated for his work in free and improvised jazz.

"Fallen Flags" promises to be an exploration of musical creativity and collaboration. Don't miss the chance to witness this exciting project unfold and experience what happens when the music scenes of Aalborg, Aarhus and Manchester collide and melt together.

Fallen Flags is a part of the Aalborg-Aarhus-Manchester city collaboration and supported by Aalborg Kommune, KORMA, Brighter Sound (Manchester, UK), Radar Aarhus, Studenterhuset Aalborg and The Danish Ministry of Culture
