Metalized tour is returning with a strong and absolutely relevant line-up in 2024. The line-up consists of the thrash kings ARTILLERY, who will be releasing their new (11th) album in January 2024, as well as prog-thrash veterans MANTICORA, who will also be releasing their new (10th) album in January 2024 through Might Music.
Additionally, we welcome two strong names from the new wave of thrash bands currently emerging on the Danish scene: DEMOLIZER, who will be releasing their 2nd album in July, and EXELERATE, who have just released their debut album and are receiving rave reviews in the international press.
Artillery is an institution in Danish and international thrash metal. The band, which started in 1982 and approached a breakthrough alongside Metallica and Slayer, has delivered one solid album after another ever since, and still manages to deliver top-notch professional live shows today with an enthusiasm and joy that many could learn from. Their latest album titled "X" received wildly positive reviews all over the world, and Artillery is truly re-establishing themselves as an international top name with their feet firmly planted in their own pond, with countless international festivals, EU tours, and most recently a headliner tour in South America!
After 9 albums, several international tours and festival shows around the world, Manticora should be a band that most metalheads know by now. Press and fans have only praise for the band's high-octane thrashed power/prog metal, both when it comes to their albums, but also live, where Manticora is known for massively energetic shows every time. With 2020's concluding album "To Live To Kill To Live" about the band's blood-dripping horror/thriller concept, accompanied by a novel - the best-reviewed Danish metal album of 2020! - the band is murderously ready to present a horror show for the audience.
Demolizer have broken through on the Danish thrash scene with their debut album "Thrashmageddon" from 2020, and have played all over the country. They are now ready with the follow-up, which will be released in the summer of 2023 and will be another step up the ladder towards taking over the whole country with energetic and bombastic thrash. The band is notorious for their explosive energy when they play shows.
Exelerate is the newest addition to the Danish thrash metal scene. They have a progressive and more melodic approach to the thrashed sound, and their debut album, which was released in March 2023, is being highly praised in the international press. Some journalists describe them as the future hope for thrash, so there is a lot to live up to when they visit Danish venues in February.
