Christian Hjelm and his band will be touring Denmark in March 2022 with his new album (more info about the album soon). Hjelm is known for having one of the most unique voices on the Danish (and foreign) music scene over the last 20 years; first in front of the indie band Figurines then as a solo artist in Danish and this has resulted in Steppeulv as ‘Vocalist of the Year’ and the debut "Før Vi Blev Lette" was named Gaffa's album of the year. Hjelm has proved that he is hard to put in one category. Now Hjelm is ready to release new music in Danish and play live, backed by a super co-produced band that gives Hjelm's quirky and poetic songs a bubbly and almost touching character. In 2012, Christian Hjelm debuted as a soloist with the critically acclaimed album 'Før Vi Blev Lette', which i.a. triggered a Steppe Wolf Award as Vocalist of the Year in 2013 and a sea of performances across the country - both with band and solo. The album was named Best Danish Album of the Year (2012) according to Gaffa's editors. In 2014, Hjelm was ready with his second album ‘Vaskeægte’, which was praised by the critics. After a short detour in English with the side project Lucky Moon, Christian Hjelm was ready with his third album 'Uskolet magi' in April 2018.
