August Høyen announces his first Denmark tour after high demand

It only required 4 days before August Høyen's first headliner at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen sold out - a concert that takes place in more than half a year! Because of the high demand there have been added an extra concert in Copenhagen as well as concerts in the rest of the country. The ticket sales begin on Friday February 10 at 10:00 AM.

August Høyen is a new, young singer-songwriter from the Northwest district in Copenhagen that has a voice that makes you listen. Because he sings with a presence and a secure fragility that makes one unable to doubt that the lyrics are coming from a place of honesty. They are personal lyrics that describe both anxiety and love with equal amounts of poetry and immediacy.

August Høyen has in the past year marked himself as one of the most interesting new voices within Danish music. This is amongst other things because of the singles ’Vennerne Skinner’ and ’Jeg Regner Med’ that received airplay at P3 and P4, made him the support for PATINA, Karl William and Bette - and got him touted as an artist to watch in the media such as GAFFA, Politiken and Soundvenue,where the latter included him on their Breakin’ Sound-liste for 2023.

2023 also seems to be at the very least just of an eventful year as 2022. Partly you can expect more new music from August Høyen and his regular creative collaborators; his friend Laurits Smedegaard Andersen and the producer-duo T&O. And you can expect to see much more of August Høyen and his band out on the live stages of the country's live stages, of which the announcement of his first tour of Denmark is the beginning of.
