Tue West & band take over Studenterhuset on May 17th! YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A STUDENT TO BUY A TICKET "A varied and well-known back catalog forms the foundation for this experience of musical presence. The songs, the voice, and the poetic lyrics, seasoned with a skillful band, always exploring new musical horizons."

Tue West is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who, over the years, has added a unique guitar sound reminiscent of a bygone era to his universe. Still, there are small islands of virtuoso piano, storytelling, humor, unpredictability, and depth.

New music is always on the way from the songwriter, who has released 9 studio albums, an EP, and dozens of singles over 20 years. He has received a Grammy, P3's talent award, the State's art prize for rhythmic music, and numerous nominations, among other accolades. In 2023, Tue West has over 1 million annual streams on Spotify and more than 55,000 monthly listeners, with new listeners continually discovering his music.

The genre is open, but can be defined as singer/songwriter or folk/pop/storyteller, and the songs are still primarily in Danish, although English-language songs have also begun to influence the repertoire. Over the years, the releases have been varied, and it's difficult to find musicians he can be compared to. He essentially resides on his own musical platform while still being a part of the great generation of Danish-language songwriters from the 2000s.

Present, poetic, and current songs about life are a constant focal point, while the improvised approach is a significant part of the musician's DNA. Now with a dynamic setup, with the guitar and pedals in focus, adding extra breadth to the sound and atmosphere, it complements the traditional craftsmanship as a songwriter and storyteller.
