Solbrud:

"IIII" is the natural title of the fourth studio album from the Copenhagen black metal band Solbrud, set to be released on Friday, February 2, 2024. Solbrud takes a different approach with "IIII," deviating from their previous collective method of composing, arranging, and filtering music. When the songwriting for the upcoming album began, Solbrud decided that each of the four members would individually compose music and write lyrics for one side of the vinyl each. However, all the tracks were recorded by the band as a whole. There was also a desire to expand the musical palette and broaden the spectrum further. This new process proved to be both inspiring and exciting for each band member but also a method that became very time and energy-consuming along the way.

The result is Solbrud's most varied album to date, where there is also room for shorter and simpler tracks. The band's atmospheric and captivating black metal with its characteristic sound remains sharply defined. As mentioned, the album is titled "IIII," emphasizing the recurring theme of 4: 4 members, 4 vinyl sides, and Solbrud's 4th studio album. The 4 elements – earth, fire, water, and air – are also part of the universe surrounding "IIII." Each vinyl side – and thus each member's compositions – represents one element.

Golden Core:

Golden Core is a Norwegian-Icelandic metal duo that has been ravaging the underground scene in Norway since 2014. Stylistically, the band plays a mix of various genres, primarily doom and black metal, and has been compared to bands such as Neurosis, Enslaved, Mastodon, Electric Wizard, and High On Fire. Despite their young age, Golden Core has more than 140 concerts under their belt and has already graced some of the finest festivals in Norway, Iceland, and England, including Bloodstock Open Air in England, Eistnaflug Festival in Iceland, by:Larm, Øyafestivalen, and Midgardsblot.

In the fall of 2019, Golden Core released the critically acclaimed album FIMBULTÝR, and on February 2, 2024, their third album KOSMOS BRENNER will be released.
