A drummer and two saxophonists. That's the simple recipe for one of the wildest live bands in the Nordics. It tastes like punk, it tastes like jazz, a bit of pop, hip-hop, afro-beat, and maybe some 90s dance. The Christiania-based trio, Smag På Dig Selv, is the epitome of instrumental euphoria – dangerous, forward-moving, seductive, and free. The three friends in Smag På Dig Selv joined forces with their saxophones and drums in 2018 with a vision to get people out on the dance floor and push the boundaries of the typical concert experience and genre understanding. Since then, they have been making waves in the Danish underground, leaving stages, dance floors, and audiences in sweaty ecstasy.

With just one EP under their belt, over the past 5 years, SPDS has played numerous concerts across the country and in Russia, establishing themselves as a riotous live phenomenon in various underground scenes. In addition to their tireless techno-inspired energy, they have gained attention for their use of everything from Nordic throat singing, poetry readings, and industrial props on stage. Critics at this year's Roskilde Festival had never heard anything like it, and a reviewer from Politiken was left in shock after the trio's performance at Huset during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
