Concert in ADHD

This fall, the neo-classical ensemble Red Warszawa will perform a four-part show in three keys: A minor, D minor, and B minor. The letters of the notes are said to stand for "all those who jump have the same type of herpes." The title was created through a collaboration with the Dyslexia Association. That's the official story.

Looking at the historical aspect of this band, what ultimately unites these four individuals is the fact that they were all former boy dancers from the Dream-boy club in Bangkok. One was called "A minor," another "D minor," and one "B minor." The last one was named Jens because he was not a minor at the time.

Even though they have long since grown older, German tourists still come to see their performances to reminisce about the '70s.

The name "Red Warszawa" first came about as a language error. It consists of the color "red" in English and the capital of Poland in Danish. It's uncertain whether this happened in 1986 or 1987.

The band's two founders had listened to a punk band from Poland and decided they wanted to play Polish punk. Due to the mistaken name, the band has often been confused with a charity organization for... well, for what exactly? The first year was spent defining whether it was even a music group, but it gradually moved more towards what one could call a rock band. The next nine years were spent in a state of ambiguity, although three demo tapes were recorded during this period.

In 1996, things took a different turn with the release of their debut album "Heavy Metal og Hass" (Heavy Metal and Hate). From there, they gained momentum, releasing 7-8 studio albums and 2-3 live recordings on CD, VHS, and DVD, as well as embarking on around 25 nationwide tours. They have also performed at several major festivals.

As the history suggests, this project is not characterized by high intelligence, but rather a creative approach to lower intelligence. Due to uncertainty about the starting year, all anniversaries are celebrated two years in a row.

Support: De Frigjorte The Danish rock band is seriously establishing their name! In the spring of 2023, the band embarked on their first headlining tour, and they're ending the year by touring with the legendary Red Warszawa. De Frigjorte will be the main support act on Red Warszawa's autumn tour, aptly named "KONZERTA I ADHD." De Frigjorte plays Danish-language, semi-hard guitar rock. After two albums and a few new singles, they have come closer to sounding like themselves, although you can still hear the influence of bands like Magtens Korridorer and D-A-D.

About the band's latest full-length release, GaFFA wrote, among other things, "The music is rock'n'roll with heavy distorted guitars and drums, and the production is really impressive and grand. On the album's first track, 'Uha Ulla!,' you'll be completely captivated by the quirky song with its fine and well-executed hookline and a cheeky and relatively successful lyric. Very much in line with the songs on the aforementioned 'Friværdi.' If you're a fan of Danish rock, De Frigjorte is definitely worth checking out!"
