We are happy to present KALASET March 17 at Studenterhuset!

In a small town outside of Skanderbord, five young people live in a collective. They form the band KALASET. In a sound universe of nostalgic 80's synthesizer and indie influenced rhythms they emerge from the underground and onto the stage. In this space you will clearly feel the youthful energy and power played out in crisp vocals and an energising band. With catchy melodies and fast-paced tracks, they draw the audience into KALASET's musical universe.

The band's first single ”Riv i mit hår” (Pull my hair) has been P3's Uundgåelige (Unavoidable) and placed in the top 20 on the Danish Airplaylist for 21 weeks. Their second single ”Kaos kan være smukt” (Chaos can be beautiful) has also been on the top 50 chart and been played on both P3 and P4. Back in June of 2021 the five band members won the Quasar music contest, and in the summer of 2021 they performed at Uhørt Festival - here GAFFA gave them a 5-star review and praised them with among others these words: ”Young Danish indie group that can go all the way to Orange scene”.

The band draws stylistic threads to groups like Superheroes, Broken Social Scene and The Cure, and delivers it with a contemporary blend of dreampop and indie rock. With Danish lyrics the songs create reflective and honest universe - these youngsters really have something to say.

KALASET consists of Jakob Rønn (drummer), Morten Holm Ørsager (lead singer and guitarist), Anders Mygind (guitarist), Sidsel Due (pianist and backing singer) og Henrik Skov (bassist).

Since the band was created in 2018 KALASET has won several music contests like the Danish Emergenza festival, the talent program Quasar as well as Battle of Bands. Beyond that, the band has warmed up for Simon Kvamm's latest project, HUGORM. The band still has big dreams, but they also have the talent and will to make them come true.
