Uptempo, engaging, and with an intense heartfelt vibe, Downtown July presents a refreshing take on indie-rock.

The foundation of Downtown July's universe lies in the synergy of the band and the lyrics that explore the pendulum of existence, swinging from overwhelming love to deep sorrow, from attempted full control to pervasive powerlessness. Downtown July invites both dancing and singing along, as well as heartfelt and contemplative moments, self-labeling their music as "Groove and Cry."

In 2023, Downtown July released a series of singles and continues the streak with "Min baltazar," scheduled for release on March 22, 2024. Following that, the focus will shift to the EP "i min krop," which the band will tour with in the fall of 2024. The EP is introspective, delving into the navel and lyrically focusing on anxiety—fear of being in the mid-20s and having to navigate expectations, finances, stress, self-image, sleep deprivation, and deciding who and what you want to be. All of this is accompanied by varying degrees of musically smoldering aggression. Despite the introverted narratives, the band looks forward to sharing their own lessons, experiences, and mature reflections with the listener, delving deep into the world of the burgeoning indie rock/pop band.

The EP "i min krop" will be released on August 24 at the Gemini Festival, an event that some members of the band have spearheaded for the past 3 years. On April 13 at Vor Frue Kirke in Aalborg, Downtown July eagerly anticipates both looking forward and backward in the church space, which they hold in great respect, both spiritually and in terms of acoustics and music. It will be a special concert where several songs have been rewritten to have an even greater impact in the beautiful church. Expect the raw and untamed essence you know from Downtown July's universe, coupled with extra meticulous attention to detail.

On their journey, Downtown July has played on both large and small stages, whether it's an intimate concert at a small venue or a full blast in the raw hall at the SPOT festival. The band loves to share the present moment and their music with their audience.

The concert is a collaboration with Vor Frelsers Kirke and Studenterhuset.

As a breath of fresh air on the musical scene, BES is a trio that, with its unique sound, is in the process of creating the musical expression that will be their hallmark. The band has been around for about 4 years and has mainly focused on interpreting songs from artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, and BES has succeeded in giving the songs their own distinctiveness while respecting the artist.

BES is currently busy writing their own songs and hopes to present their very own music in the near future. The trio consists of Emelie - Lead vocals and bass, Betty - drums, and Siri - guitar and backing vocals.
